My name’s Dan Johnson and I am a jazz guitarist from the UK and I work in a shop which has a large dedicated jazz guitar stock. The idea of this blog is to try to provide the missing link between my job and hobby, I will be putting up some interviews with jazz guitarists I know from all over the world and look forward to posting interesting articles from around the web, forthcoming gigs and events with a jazz guitar interest and reviews etc.
Eastman T146SMD LSB – Single cut all hollow solid wood hand carved guitar, great characterful guitar, my main axe.
Yamaha SA2200 – “335” style guitar, but much lighter with a more direct tone.
Edit I’m possibly looking to try and get hold of an 80’s Ibanez AS200 instead. Let me know if you have one!
Acoustic Image Clarus – My main amp, very clean with plenty of headroom through my 4ohm cabinet
Polytone Minibrute II – Now my back up amp, nice in a lower volume setting but to my ears struggles to keep it’s tone when pushed louder

David Nordon-Angus (AKA ‘Blackcat’) told me to check your blog.
Keep it up, we need more jazz guitar websites!
